SampleTank - виртуальная сэмплерная рабочая станция. Семплер имеет 16-частную мультитембральность, полифонию 256 голосов, более 50 параметров синтеза, функцию портаменто, восемь стереовыходов. Возможны редактирование отдельных семплов, синхронизация лупов друг с другом и с темпом секвенсора, контроль по MIDI любого органа управления программы. Встроенные эффекты имеют 32 алгоритма (имитатор усилителей, спикосимулятор, дисторшн, фейзер, хорус, фленджер, эквалайзер, компрессор, лимитер, ревербератор и др.), в том числе есть эффекты программ AmpliTube и T-Racks. Может работать как в качестве плагина (VST, RTAS, DXi), так и в качестве самостоятельной программы, экспортирует сэмплы в форматах WAV, AIFF, SDII, AKAI S-1000/3000 и SampleCell, предлагает функции сохранения пользовательских пресетов и модулей, а также функцию создания резервной копии.
SampleTank позволяет применять три способа создания звуков: Resampling (обычное проигрывание семплов), Pitch-shift/Time-stretch (с использованием смещения высоты тона и сжатия/растяжения времени), STRETCH (SampleTank Time REsynthesys TeCHnology, можно управлять продолжительностью, высотой тона и гармониками). Встроенные эффекты имеют 32 алгоритма (имитатор усилителей, спикосимулятор, дисторшн, фейзер, хорус, фленджер, эквалайзер, компрессор, лимитер, ревербератор и др.), в том числе есть эффекты программ AmpliTube и T-Racks. До пяти эффектов на инструмент можно использовать одновременно.
Виртуальный семплер SampleTank 2.5 отличается от версии 2.1 улучшенной системой мультиэффектов - помимо пяти эффектов для каждого инструмента, теперь еще есть пять эффектов в посыле-возврате и пять мастер-эффектов, также новым алгоритмом реверберации из набора плагинов Classik Studio Reverb, возможностью загрузки любых виртуальных инструментов, сделанных на основе ядра программы (Powered by SampleTank). Также добавлены общие регулировки громкости и панорамы, общая синхронизация лупов, возможность выбора кривой портаменто, 200 новых пэтчей. Программу можно использовать автономно или как плагин формата VSTi, RTAS, AU.
